 This wonderful tree was recently changed by the manufacturer and does not look exactly like this photo. The good news is they took our suggestion and made the trunk so that it now screws in to the base and does not snap off. The bad news is, the topmost branch/finial detail is now almost flat. Plus, after we assembled our sample, we actually lost the use of one hook. However, we discovered that the branches can be bent upwards by hand. If you hold opposing branches in your palms and gently press your hands together it pulls them upwards. This metal ornament tree has a delicate look, but sturdy design says the manufacturer. Solid, smooth, wrought iron construction with a weighted base. Intended to hold heavier Christmas ornaments such as your Swarovski or Waterford solid glass balls. The paint finish is actually a very dark brown. The base of the tree has a raised beaded and decorative floral trim. It is weighted and the underside of the base is covered with dark green felt. It has five main wire branches of the trunk and one finial with four "twigs" or offshoots. The end of each branch turns up into a hook with a small ball finial. You'll have at least three more places to hang ornaments on each branch or twig. The stem and center branches of each arm are wrapped with dark brown wire. Comfortably holds 25 or more items / ornaments. Each wire branch and twig has a small clear green acrylic leaf. And, we think the leaves make this dark brown tree suitable for use as a money tree or family photo tree. Arrives unassembled. Just fit the branches to fit into the designated spot and decorate.
