POLISHING LUCITE ORNAMENT STANDSTo polish your Lucite stands, apply the polish liberally, in one area at a time and do not use pressure when wiping the surface. Buff the surface to a slippery glaze using firm, short strokes. Polish with a clean, dry cloth. The higher the glaze on your stand, the more resistant it will be to dust and scratching. Choose your cleaning product carefully. Look for product scan be safely used to restore clarity or remove yellowing from your discolored or faded plastics. After the color is restored, seal the surfaces with a coat of good polish. If the surface is large or badly damaged, you can use a power buffer with a clean wool or cotton bonnet. Operate the buffer at a low speed to avoid overheating the plastic, approximately 1,000 RPM. Test in a inconspicuous spot first. Be careful!
