Yes, you can use your metal ornament tree to display products in your home or business all year around!
How about a display of beanie babies, red ornaments for Valentine's Day, chick or bunnies for Easter, green ornaments for St. Patrick's day, red, white and blue ornaments for July 4th, etc.? You can display photo frames ( 4" or smaller), Easter eggs, Easter ornaments, decorate it with ribbons, seasonal or topical real pine or artificial garlands, winter flower nosegays, etc.
Since metal ornament trees have no foliage, you can load up our heavier trees with your prized ornaments, use ornaments combined with other decorations or just use it decorated - swapping out flowers, ribbons, etc. according to the seasons or other holidays. Just about anything 2"-4" in diameter or smaller can be displayed on a metal ornament tree. The latest trend for decorating these trees is using them for a money trees or adding miniature photo frames to create a
family photo tree.
Customers have also used them to display
-
packaged baked goods
-
homemade candies
-
necklaces and other jewelry
-
scarves
-
small knitted or crochet items
-
cards
-
paper products
-
silk flower arrangements
-
small stuffed animals
-
any product that is displayed on a string, ribbon, or hook.
Plus we have a wide variety of ornament hooks
and gold or silver hooks with a clip that will enhance your display.
Be creative with using beaded garlands:
twist or drape two different color strands of beads or tinsel garland together before decorating the tree. Or allow different color rows to overlap. You can even remove the finial in some of our trees and substitute a silk spray of holly, poinsettia or any other seasonal flower. Experiment with a live spray if you can figure out how to get
a small container with water to stay in the hollow, open trunk.
Be careful of scale, weight and balance when decorating your tree.
Too many ornaments or decorations could cause the tree to be unbalanced which will then lead to tipping over and /or breakage. Always decorated around the tree and add your heaviest ornaments to the bottom row of the tree. Heavy ornaments can also be placed near the center pole. Do not place stress on the outer end of the
branch. If you want to go all out with displaying your ornaments, be careful not to overload the tree and secure it so that it can not be knocked down or tipped over.
You can add lights to a metal ornament tree.
If you decide add lights to your metal tree, make sure the strand, holders and bulbs are UL listed and approved for use on a metal surface or metal tree. Most strands of UL listed commercial lights or indoor-outdoor rated lights will work. Although, a simple uplight would probably look best.
Finally, remember, you are only limited by your imagination! :-)
