Snowy Day Country Natural Twig Ornament Tree - 15"

In love with the stark beauty of a winter treescape? Need a display tree to show off a collection of small, lightweight holiday ornaments or miniature photo ornaments? The white flocked coating gives the tree branches the appearance of being covered with snow in areas. On these trees, the "snow" is more like a lightweight spray on flocking and the coverage thicker overall than the other trees of this type on our site. Some of the tree branches may be oversprayed. But, you can carefully remove the excess.

Beautiful for display of all types of LIGHTWEIGHT small or miniature holiday ornaments - even the Swaroski stars. Flexible wired stems are wrapped with dark brown floral tape and coated with soft white flocking for a realistic look of snow. Trunk and branches have the texture of bark. You will love its' simple, uncluttered look that will not compete with the colors of your ornaments or add unwanted elements to your country holiday decor.

The branches are sturdy but the finial branch and tips are not which is why we recommend using only lightweight, miniature or hollow ornaments. We successfully hung hollow resin, hollow glass, thin, hollow wood ornaments on the tips with no bending. We were able to hang a hollow porcelain 2 oz ornament in the branch crotches it as well. Tree would not support high end solid glass, thick/heavy solid wood or solid resin ornaments.

Although the wrapping is tight and well done, it can crack if handled roughly. The tree arrives with the branches up against the trunk. To move them carefully without cracking the coating, place your thumb firmly at the base of the branch you wish to move, lay your forefinger on the inside of the branch then slowly and gently pull the branch down toward you or arrange it as you choose. If you do crack the surface, a quik dab of light / dark brown / mixed dark brown and black paint will restore the surface and make it look like new.

The wrapping on our sample also met neatly at the square wood base which was steady and sat flat. The trunk on our tree was straight. Please note, this tree is a bit more rustic-looking in person than it appears to be in the photo. To keep the tape intact over long-term storage, keep the tree in a cool, dry area away from heat and/or moisture. Not suitable for use outdoors.
