Step By Step Guide For Placing an Order on Our Site

Ordering guide for customers who are new to shopping on the internet or shopping at Ornament Trees.com for the first time.

Step-By-Step Help With The Ordering Process
After you've made your selections, click the "View Cart" text link at the top left of every page. The next screen (as seen below) will show the cart contents and give you the option to return to the last product that you entered into the cart, shop for more products using our Site Map or complete the order and Checkout. Or,
if you are ready to complete your order from our secure cart, click "Checkout."
Our
products sell best between late
September and January. During the
off-season, our telephone support is
reduced and customer support is supplied
primarily by e-mail. To order toll-free by phone
between October 1st and December 1st, print out the cart contents on this page and call our toll-free number to complete the order. Have your credit card ready. Operators are only equipped to take orders. If you have a question about the item or the available quantity, or an existing order, please use the Contact Us form.

Customer Log-In or Registration Page
If you are a returning customer, fill in the user name and password that you used on your first order. If not, click the "New Customer" text link or button and register. NOTE: Do not use any capital letters or symbols (Avery@me.com / Cheesewiz, etc. ) in the user name or password fields when creating your account. The easiest way to create the account is to use your first name for the user name and your last name for the password, no caps, no symbols. (avery / smith etc. )
You will receive a copy of the registration form with your password. If you forget this info later, use the"Recover password" feature on this page to have it e-mailed to you. You can choose to be a member or not a member. Selecting membership does not obligate you in any way. Members can store more than one ship to address, access their wish list, tracking and notes we add to their account, plus they will get advanced notice of special sales.

Registration Area: Customer "Bill To" Address Section
Compete the first "Bill To" address field. The name and/or billing address in these fields must exactly match the name and address on your credit card, Paypal account or checking account if you are using an e-check.

Gift Address or Different "Ship to" Customer Address Section
To save time during checkout, our cart assumes that your "ship to" and "bill to" addresses are the same. If you are shipping the order as a gift or to a different address, tick the "Ship to a different address" box and complete the lower address box as shown below. If you are a returning customer and wish to ship to a different address, log in to your account then select the "Your Address Book" link in the Customer Service area at the bottom of each page. A signature is required at delivery for any order with different "ship to" / "bill to" addresses and all uninsured orders with products valued over $100. If you do not live in Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico or a US territory and you select post office delivery, a signature will also be required. Summary of the Order (a) and Review of Personal Information
At the top of this page, you will see a summary of the contents of your cart and any discounts applied by the cart or with a coupon. In the middle "Personal Information" section of the page, you should verify the shipping and billing addresses for your order. You can still modify or change it if need be.

Next Screen: Payment Method Details
At the bottom of this same page, enter the details of your payment method as shown below. If you need to inform us of an important "need-by" due date for your order, have a message for the recipient of your gift, or wish to send a message to our staff, please enter it in the "Customer Notes" space. Click "Submit Order" to complete.

Next Screen: Payment Processing
After submitting the order, the credit card processor will compare the info on the order form with the details on file with your card issuer and your available credit. During this process, you will see the following page. Credit card orders on our site are processed in real time which means your card/check is credited/debited at the end of the transaction. Please go

of "real time" credit card processing. Shipping of orders paid by paper check, bank e-check, Paypal e-check and money order payments will be held until after the payment clears. If we are out of stock and can not fill the order, a refund will be issued in the form of an American Express gift card.

Problem With Ordering: Order Declined
Most orders are approved and the next screen that you see will be a copy of the invoice that will also be e-mailed to you. However, occasionally an order is rejected. Our cart will try to tell you in as much detail as supplied by the card issuer as to why the card was declined. The most common reasons for credit card decline are:
General unspecific decline by card issuer (usually address on the order does not match the card issuers' info on file.)
The credit card number is invalid.
The credit card expiration date format submitted is invalid.
The credit card has expired.
A duplicate transaction was submitted within the previous two minutes.
The c-v-v verification code was either not entered on the order form or it was entered incorrectly. For Mastercard, Visa and Discover, this is a three digit number on the back of the card at the end of the signature panel. For American Express it is a four digit number on the front of the card, above the last few digits of your card number.
E-CHECK DECLINE CODES:
ABA bank routing code is invalid.
Response Reason Code: 10: The checking account number is invalid
If your card or e-check is declined and you wish to try again, click the "Go Back" text link at the bottom left or right hand side of the page. It will return you to the shipping/payment method selection page and keep the items in your cart intact.
